I haven't R4Red in a long time, so here goes. I haven't heard the original, so I'm going to be reviewing as if this was original

+ Sound design is spectacular!
+ The sounds are mixed pretty nicely and clear
+ Melodically, the piece sounds really nice. Not sure how much creativity you put on the original piece, but the harmonies sound pretty good!
+ Your cat looks gr8 :3

- The song feels like it's forever building towards something but not quite reaching it. You build and build, then fade back down a bit, then build, then fade again, then build some more, then falter a bit more, etc. Your song never feels like it reaches the height it builds towards through all this, either.
- I feel like the vocals could have been mixed more on top of the track rather than being buried, but I guess it's a hardstyle remix so :/

Hey, Chael! Saw this for your NGAUC audition, so I thought I'd drop by and leave some words.

+ Crazy bass design
+ Shocking volume!
+ Fantastic structure and build quality

- Some harmonies don't mesh well with each other, dissonantly or consonantly.
- The melodic lines sound a bit amateurish, mostly due to emphasis of the tonic.
- I feel like this piece could have used a louder kick drum.

Falsesouth responds:

Thanks for your response, I am glad to hear this and I agree with the majority of what you said. :)

I am glad you enjoyed it.

It sounds great, but MAN is that loud! At least turn it down a bit...

Shoot, it looks like you got zero-bombed pretty hard! I voted 5 to try and mend that a bit :)

KORAII responds:

Yeh it kinda sucks :/ Thanks for the help lol :3

This sounds muddier than your usual work... it could just be new headphones, but the sound is weirdly muddy here.

I think someone just really hates you and decided to zero bomb everything you have...

Have you tried voting 5 on your own submission? Also, if it's really unrecoverable, you could attempt a reupload.

TomZeo responds:

Thanks again! 1f1n1ty, your words of wisdom inspire me so much, you know.

Why is the rating for this so unreasonbly low? i mean, this track is improvable in many aspects, but it's got more than 1 star worth of content and effort in it. I'm going to vote this to bring that score up a bit. :)

TomZeo responds:

Thanks, 1f1n1ty!

GiIvaSunner did a high-quality rip of this song!

MaestroRage responds:

Man, that was intense lol! I really enjoyed it. THank you for pointing it out and for the review :)

Hey, man! Really nice remix, here are some thoughts:

Pros:
- Sound design rocks! You've chosen/designed your leads very nicely!
- Great drum design! You've done a good job mixing them to give them that DnB oomph!
- Exceptional mixing! I'm kind of a noob in this aspect, so there's not much I can say, but it's definitely better than what I usually pull off!

Cons:
- You spelled my name wrong in the title :( and in the tag
- The piano at 2:08 sounds way too robotic to be effective. With the style of this piece, I'm not surprised that it lacks.
- The piece has no clear progression. It may be due to the repetition, but the part at 0:39 to 2:08 doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
- Be careful not to overuse the same transition sounds. I hear the same fill and the same sweepup multiple times throughout the piece

KORAII responds:

Thanks for the feedback :D glad you enjoyed. Unfortunately I have the demo version of fl studio so i have to make everything in one sitting :/ I still made all the synths I used from scratch tho

Hey, Aeron! Dude, this is fantastic as always!

The mixing is PRISTINE! Everything is so clear and yet the track is still really, really loud! That's the kind of mixing expertise I really wish to achieve :)

The drop sounds SUPER NICE! I love what you decided to do here, with the song being sixteenth based aside from the drop, where the rhythm switches to sixtuplets. Also I hear Metal Gear :/

The transition into the drop is really, really smooth because you have a tom drum break introduce the new metric division. But coming back out could be a bit better. But it's not like you didn't know that. But maybe you could have done it by making the drums different in the final bar? Like, you could have squared off the drums but kept everything else going as it is. Kind of like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za_QNk4qmn8 go to around 0:58

Other than that, I'm not hearing much! Your sound design is brilliant, your basses are massive and awesome, and your mixing is just the best! 4.5/5, 10/10, keep it up! ;)

AeronMusic responds:

Yo 1f1n1ty! Thanks a lot for your awesome review! Glad you like it!
I could have done that with the drums but I don't actually like that switch at around 0:58 (in that pokemon mystery dungeon OST) so hence why I didn't square off the drums there.

Oh yeah I couldn't resist to place some metal gear sound right there :)))
